Mexico’s Luis Montes out of FIFA World Cup 2014 team after leg injury

A rather unfortunate event, Mexico Football Team lost one of it’s key members to injury. Midfielder Luis Montes is set to miss the FIFA World Cup 2014 after he broke his leg in the game against Ecuador on Saturday at AT&T stadium in Dallas, Texas.

Montes has recently scored a goal just moments before this horrific incident took place. He collided with Segundo Castillo and it was obvious that he has suffered a very serious leg injury. It was later confirmed that he had broken his right leg and would be unable to participate for his national team in the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

Javier Aquino was named as replacement for the injured Luis Montes in Mexico's FIFA World Cup 2014 squad, and things will have to move on as they are. Injuries are part and parcel of the game, and one can’t really predict when they will occur, but it is horrific to watch one happen in front of your eyes and it’s a very unfortunate event for the Mexico National team.
